Come and discover the Islands of Ischia and Procida on your Green Isle Cruise. Enjoy swimming and sunbathing in a relaxed, peaceful atmosphere. Admire the breathtaking views that the Island of Ischia has to offer. Renowned throughout Europe for its thermal baths and  rich fertility.While cruising round the Isle of Ischia you will most cer- tainly be taken back by the peculiar formed rock at the port of Lacco Ameno, known to the locals as the Fungo which means mushroom. At St. Angelo in Ischia you will be offered the chance to take a small boat to the shore for a browse around the shops. The cost of the boat is an optional extra and should be paid on board. If you prefer not to go ashore, then just remain on board the Marine Club and soak up the sunshine.
Then as a complete contrast is the lazy, relaxed Island of Procida primarily a fishing village but  more famous for its pri- son which used to house prisoners serving life sentences! Lunch can be bought on board payable direct to the crew or you can bring your own picnic lunch.

This is a very lazy, relaxing day for those who just want to take it easy. It is a delightful day spent cruising in the Bay of Naples and Salerno on the comfortable yacht Marine Club.
There is plenty of room for sunbathing with changing facilities and showers. As far as lunch is concerned there is a snack bar with a large selection of hot and cold snacks and salads or you can bring your own picnic lunch. Several stops will be made for swimming including the Galli
Isles and the Faraglioni rocks  at Capri. When the boat reaches Positano you will be offered the chan- ce to go ashore. This is an optional extra to the cruise and you will be asked to pay the boatman direct if you wish to go. The Marine Club steams on to Amalfi and will pick you up again from Positano on its way back to Sorrento.
Those who do not wish to visit Positano town can stay on board and cruise down the rest of the coast to Amalfi and go ashore there for sightseeing at no extra cost. On the return journey there will be more stops for swimming. Our cruise is the perfect way to top up your tan!!. Remember: take your swimming costumes and towels and don't forget your camera! If you wish to take advantage of the lunch on board the cost is payable direct to the crew

First you will visit the fabulous villa of Dr.Axel Munthe, a Swedish doctor whose best selling book 'Story of San Michele' tells of his time on Capri. His villa was built with the remains of Roman ruins and there
is a beautiful shady garden with terrace affording splendid views of the island.This is optional and the entrance fee should be paid direct to the guide.You then go down to Capri town which is very chic with shops, hotels and restaurants lying along winding streets.The main square Piazza  Umberto has a pretty white church and several open-air cafes where you can sit and watch the world drift by. Leading off the square are medieval looking alleyways and arcades full of shops selling the handcrafts of the island such as clothing, jewellery made from coral and gold, shoes and ceramics. Admire the colourful gardens of Augustus overlooking the famed Faraglioni Rocks and Marina Piccola where Gracie Fields once lived.There is free time for you to go off and admire the

A fantastic excursion to enjoy and live Capri's night life to 100%. This wonderful island by night, after the departure of the daily visitors can be enjoyed in all its beauty. With many Restaurants, Cafe's, Piano-bars, night club or a sim- ple romantic walk to the Tragara point to admire the Faraglioni Rocks by night, leaving you with an unforgettable experience. The excursion includes: Pick up from the hotels by minibus, meet with our guide at Sorrento port. Boat to Capri.
On the island hotel staff will transfer baggage from the port to the hotel while you continue with the excursion to discover Capri. Minibus to Anacapri and a visit to the Villa San Michele, free time for lunch (Guests with half board in the Sorrento hotels can have a packed lunch instead of the evening meal). After lunch a minibus to Capri centre for shopping. From here you can easly reach the hotel (3 star superior).
Dinner and overnight at hotel. If you want to have an evening- dinner out to Capri's Restaurants you can switch dinner at hotel with lunch on the following day.
Day two: After breakfast you are free to continue the visit to Capri exploring the Monte Solaro,Villa Jovis, Blue Grotto or have a swim at one of Capri's beaches, just in time to meet our guide at Capri's port around 15.45 (a voucher will be pro- vide for transfer by Funicular from Capri centre to port). Boat back to Sorrento and transfer by minibus to hotel.

Ercolano

Our journey takes us along the gorgeous coastal road through Castellammare di Stabia and out along the highway to Herculaneum. Herculaneum was destroyed along with Pompei in 79 AD, and rediscovered in 1709. It was a residential town without Pompei's commercial impor- tance, surrounded by the villas of the wealthy Romans.When the catastrophe of 79 AD occurred Herculaneum was submerged under a torrent of mud and lava that hardened into a soft tufa (a kind of course rock) that preserved many of the timber features and household objects which can be seen today. A large portion of the old Herculaneum is still buried under the modern town and even today excavations are going on to discover what trea- sures lie buried under the rock, to the extent that some families are being rehoused so work can continue.

Napoli and Solfatara

Naples was founded in 600 BC by the Greeks and the Romans took over in 320 BC. Naples is rife in history with buildings, churches and monuments dating back centuries.
Only just over an hour from Sorrento, it makes an interesting day out. On our tour, you will be able to visit the National Museum which is one of the best archaeological museums in the world. Most of the treasures from Pompei and Herculaneum have been transferred to this museum for safe keeping.
There is also a priceless collection of paintings and bronze works. After visiting the museum, you will also be guided around the city which as you will see is a hive of activity!
You will see the Royal Palace, the Piazza Plebiscito, the Piazza Municipio with its huge medieval castle the 'Maschio Angioino' and the San Carlo Opera house. In the afternoon, you will drive to the area near Pozzuoli to visit the Solfatara.

About an hours drive south of Naples is another important
Italian provincial capital Salerno.
In medieval times Salerno was the world capital of medicine. The Monastery of the Benedictine monks, who probably foun- ded its medical school, offered the best instruction then availa- ble. One of the most famous medical texts of that time was the 'Regimen Sanistas Salerni' written here in Latin and tran- slated into almost every European language.
In more modern times Salerno is best remembered for the Allied troops landing on its beaches during the Second World War.
To the east of Salerno, after the headlands of Pontecagnano, Battipaglia and Eboli, is Paestum, one of the most important archaeological sites in the country.
Here you will see some of the best preserved Greek ruins, architecture and monuments, such as the Temple of Poseidon
(Neptune) and the Basilica dating from the 6th Century.
Look out for the buffalo that you will see grazing on the road- side during the drive!

Caserta Cassino

Caserta is known as the 'Versailles of Naples' because of the Royal Palace built here by Charles III the Bourbon King, in the 18th Century. The enchanting palace overlooking the huge square is one of the most sumptuous buildings of its kind in Italy. It has over 1.200 rooms and is rich in chandeliers, richly gilded frescoes, tapestries and  history.
In 1945 it was the headquarters of the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in the Mediterranean.
The extraordinary gardens are its crowning glory, the great cascade, a waterfall of 75 metres high which can be seen clearly from the palace 3 km away. After the splendour of the Royal Palace, we make our way to Monte Cassino to the famous Abbey, which was founded in 529 by St. Benedict of Norcia.
During the Second World War the Abbey was completely destroyed and has since been faithfully restored to its former glory, with even the original frescoes and mosiaics pieced together again. A truly memorable day out.

The 'Amalfi Drive' is said to be the most spectacular in Europe and from Sorrento the winding cliff top road offers breathtaking panoramic views at every turn. Each spot is a world of its own, a fantastic world which dazzles the imagination and inspires unforgettable impressions.
We reach Amalfi, which gives its name to the whole coast on which it lies. This was once a thriving Marine Republic, power- ful and prosperous, and now a thriving holiday resort.
The unmistakeable cluster of white tightly packed houses rising up the hillside is dominated by the beautiful Cathedral which stands superbly on the top of a great flight of steps leading up from the main square.
Housed in the magnificent Cathedral are the remains of the
Patron Saint of Amalfi and also Scotland - Saint Andrew.
From Amalfi we visit Ravello which nestles eleven hundred feet above the sea in the mountainside. We visit the Villa Rufolo which gave the musician Richard Wagner the inspiration to create some of his most famous works.

Sorrento Musical

The Tasso Theatre will stage a Musical, lasting 75 minutes, which reconstructs our cultural roots through song and dance, with scenery which changes several times throughout the

At 21.00 hrs the clients will be met in the foyer of the theatre and will be offered a welcome drink.
Once inside there will be an orchestra playing dance music until 21.30 hrs when the show will start.
At the end of the show, the audience will be invited to continue dancing, admist the scenery of the musical.

Neapolitan show

THE FABULOUS NEAPOLITAN SHOW - …an incredible jou- ney through the ages from 1558 until today. The performance revolves around the most important stories of Sorrento and the Kingdom of Naples in the last 500 years
THE SARACEN LANDING - One june 13 th 1558 Sorrento was invaded by the Saracens. The strong rhythm of the percus- sion instruments and the masked dances, represent this event and the terror of the local people.
MASANIELLO REVOLUTION - In 1647 the people rebel against the corrupt government. A fisherman, Thomas Aniello, nicknamed Masaniello, leads the revolution to its tragic end. The heart rending sound of a guitar represents the pain and grief of his young wife, Bernardina.
THE FESTIVAL OF PIEDIGROTTA - In 1800 there was a festi- val to inaugurate the tunnel which linked two districts of Naples. Scenes of daily life, candlelight procession, courting couples and lively street urchins are portrayed in the music of a festival.
WAR - The 2nd World War 1940-45 is another sad wound inflicted on an already suffering popularion, which can only sur- vive dreaming of a better world. (Tamurriata nera - Ma io ce credo). Of a world governed by splendid, dreaming pulcinella, the Neapolitan character who hides his tears under a smile. SURRENTINE CAROUSEL - O sole mio, Torna a Surriento, Funiculì funiculà and other famous melodies fuse together into a lively, colorful finale.
